
Safe Space Radio, a forum for courageous conversations, is offering a four-week series on the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth & Reconciliation Commission, airing on four consecutive Monday afternoons, beginning Mon., Jan. 26, from 1 to 1:30 p.m. on WMPG, 90.9 FM.
Dr. Anne Hallward will speak with Maine-Wabanaki REACH’s Esther Attean, Maria Girouard and Stephanie Bailey, and TRC Commissioner Sandy White Hawk about:

- The story of the TRC in Maine: Mon., Feb. 2
- The impact of the TRC in Wabanaki communities and the work of healing: Mon., Feb. 9
- The legacy of being taken for adoption by a white family: Mon., Feb. 16

Dr. Anne is a Board certified psychiatrist in Portland. She trained at Harvard Medical School, where she also served on the faculty, teaching at Cambridge Hospital, before moving to Maine. She started Safe Space Radio in 2008 to reduce stigma and offer hope, because each person who dares to tell a vulnerable story contributes to a safer culture for everyone.
