The Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth & Reconciliation Commission (TRC) invites the public to hear its recommendations during a forum at the Portland Public Library on Wed., May 27, 5:30 p.m.
Days of Reflection, Prayer and Meditation are being observed, Nov. 3-5, in honor of Statement Gathering in three locations: in Bangor, Nov. 3; at the Penobscot Indian Nation, Nov. 4; and at the Bangor-based Wabanaki Health and Wellness, Nov. 5.
Days of Reflection, Prayer and Meditation will be held Oct. 14-16 to coincide with Statement Gathering, first in Houlton and Caribou for child welfare and legal workers, parents and guardians, Oct. 14-15, and then with the Aroostook Band of Micmacs, Oct. 16.
Days of Reflection, Prayer and Meditation will be held Sept. 11-12 during Statement Gathering in Machias for child welfare and legal workers, parents and guardians, and then Sept. 14-15 for the Passamaquoddy communities of Motahkomikuk and Sipayik.
Days of Reflection, Prayer and Meditation continue, July 21-22, as Statement Gathering returns to the Passamaquoddy communities of Motahkomikuk and Sipayik.
